Public Board Meetings
The Campbell River Board of Education holds regular public meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month during the school year, starting at 7:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted. All members of the community are welcome to attend. All board meetings and information on how to attend are posted to the district website calendar.
Public meetings are also live streamed to help our school community connect and engage in conversations about education issues. All previous live streamed meetings can be watched on the district’s YouTube channel.
Delegations
Individuals and groups are welcome to make presentations to the board. Presentations are limited to 10 minutes unless approved by the board chair and there will be no more than 20 minutes allotted for all presentations at each public meeting. Those wishing to make a presentation must submit an application to the secretary-treasurer’s office by 12:00 p.m. of the Wednesday prior to the public meeting that they wish to present at. Applications will be approved at the discretion of the board chair and applicants will be advised by the Friday prior to the public meeting whether their presentation has been approved.
Question Period
An opportunity is given for the public to ask questions on meeting agenda items in the last 15 minutes of each public meeting. There is a limit of one question per person. A question to the Board of Education can be sent ahead of the public meeting to the superintendent’s office or submitted on the written form provided at the public meeting.
