Learning, reflection and community connection. 🧡 Today, students across SD72 recognized Orange Shirt Day through assemblies, learning activities and conversations about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools. Several schools, like Georgia Park Elementary, ended their assembly with a community walk to learn and reflect together. Supporting a great cause, one scoop at a time. 🍦 Several SD72 schools recently welcomed the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock riders, including Pinecrest Elementary. Pinecrest students organized an ice cream fundraiser and raised $500 to support Tour de Rock and families affected by cancer. The event gave students an opportunity to show leadership, generosity, and the power of working together for their community.
