Update on School District 72 Trustee Election Ballot Error and Vote Counting
As announced on Friday, October 9, 2026, an error was identified in the voting instructions printed on ballots used during one of the advance voting opportunities for the School District 72 trustee election conducted in the City of Campbell River.

Community EventGeneral Voting Day for the 2026 school trustee election will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Residents of School District 72 can vote to elect seven trustees to the Board of Education for the 2026 to 2030 term. Trustees are elected from three electoral areas: Greater Campbell River, Sayward Valley, and the Discovery Islands (Quadra, Cortes & Read).

The AGM includes elections for DPAC executive positions. DPAC voting membership consists of parent representatives from every school in School District 72, who elect the DPAC Executive each year.
DPAC provides a forum for parent voices at the district level and supports communication and collaboration between schools, families and the school district.
Regular DPAC meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, with no meetings in March or December.
