A new outdoor learning space has taken shape at Pinecrest Elementary. 🌲🪵Beautiful cedar slab benches, built by Cody Card, have been added to the school grounds with support from Indigenous Education funding. Each Friday over the last month, classes have gathered here for drumming sessions with Will Henderson 🥁 The sound carries through the forest beside the school and board office. Here's a short clip of students drumming with Will. #CRSD72 #IndigenousEducation #OutdoorLearning

Students with mobility challenges in #CRSD72 now have more ways to explore, learn, and belong. 💙 A generous anonymous donation, matched by Variety - The Children's Charity of BC, has helped the district's accessibility committee introduce new accessible equipment for field trips and outdoor learning. 🌲🏖️ From forest trails to sandy beaches, students can now take part alongside their peers in ways that weren’t possible before. Zacky was the first to try the new all-terrain stroller during a class visit to Saratoga Beach, joined by his classmates and his mom. It was a meaningful moment during National Accessibility Week.
